FAQs

What instruments do you currently offer?

Currently, we offer guitar, bass, and double bass lessons with our founder, Kris Luis. If you're interested in another instrument, reach out and we'll do our best to connect you with an instructor who can help you achieve your goals.

What ages do you teach?

We work with students of a wide range of ages, from young beginners through adults. Whether you're picking up an instrument for the first time or looking to take your playing further, lessons are tailored to your experience and goals.

Do I need previous experience?

Not at all! Beginners are welcome. We'll start wherever you are and build from there. If you've been playing for years, we'll meet you at your current level and focus on the areas that will help you continue to grow.

How much do lessons cost?

Lessons are $400/month, billed monthly, which includes one 60-minute lesson each week. That gives us a consistent weekly time to work together and build on what we’re learning from lesson to lesson. The monthly rate is a flat rate, so if there happen to be five Thursdays in a month, the 5th lesson is on me!

How long is each lesson?

Standard lessons are 60 minutes once a week. This gives us enough time to work on technique, musical concepts, and the songs or skills you're most interested in developing.

How are lessons scheduled?

You can reach us anytime via our contact page or email. We aim to respond quickly—usually within one business day.

What happens in the first lesson?

In your first lesson, you'll learn the names of the parts of the instrument, the names of the strings, and a few basic chords to get you started playing songs right away. You'll quickly learn that much of modern music is made up of, as Willie Nelson put it, “four chords and the truth.” If learning an instrument has ever felt intimidating, rest assured, you may be surprised by how quickly you can start making music with consistent lessons.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?

We understand that things come up. If you need to miss a lesson, please give as much notice as possible. We'll work with you to determine the best way to handle the missed lesson based on the circumstances and our scheduling availability.

How do I get started?

Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form or schedule a call—we’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way.
